Description:

The primary objective of the Outside Sales Agent is to bring new customer accounts to Tactical Impulse as a result of their sales efforts. Appointee will be assigned a geographical area in which they will market and sell Tactical Impulse products to potential customers. Appointee must conduct market research of target markets, formulate and execute an effective sales strategy. Initial contact with potential clients will mainly occur via telephone, and may require subsequent contact via e-mail communications and/or in-person meetings.

Appointee’s activities with potential customers might include discussions about Tactical Impulse and competing products, shipping evaluation equipment to customer, maintaining follow-up communications during selection process, conducting in-person product demonstrations and closing sales meetings. Account sales will result in sizable commissions and bonuses calculated by structured formals.

Duties:

  • Conduct market research
  • Construct efficient sales strategies
  • Call on prospective clients (cold, warm & hot calls)
  • Engage in detailed e-mail communication
  • Become knowledgeable with Tactical Impulse products and competing products
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of activities

Basic Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen, Naturalized Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current state issued Driver’s license
  • No current warrants or pending criminal proceedings
  • No current illicit drug use (must be able to pass drug test if required)

Job-Related Requirements:

  • Availability to work between 9am – 6pm CST, Monday - Friday
  • Ability to speak clearly, intelligibly, and in a manner that exudes professionalism
  • Be personable, friendly, and passionate about personal and Tactical Impulse’s goals
  • At least 2 years’ experience using professional e-mail communication
  • Ability to conduct research and formulate logical plans of action
  • General proficiency with computers (operating system and application navigation)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel (<20%)
  • Ability to effectively relay product benefits and/or technical information to customers

Job-Related Requirements (Remote Applicants)

  • A quiet environment during working hours
  • A high speed, low-latency internet connection (subject to validation)
  • A personal computer capable of performing job related tasks (subject to validation)

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Public Safety experience or education (Police, EMS, fire, etc.)
  • Proven sales experience. Product sales experience is better, and law enforcement equipment sales is even better!
  • Personal PC with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Experience using VOIP telephony or corporate communication systems
  • Personal network containing law enforcement individuals with purchasing decision ability or influence
  • Graphical design skills
